The Trenton Area Soup Kitchen has been a beacon of hope to our community for over 40 years, providing warm meals, essential services and a welcoming smile to our neighbors in need. For many, this year has been a challenging one, but TASK's doors and hearts are open, no questions asked. As we approach the peak of the holiday season, we thank YOU for helping TASK spread kindness, good cheer and joy to those who need it most. Together, we can keep spirits bright! Below are some of the festive events that TASK hosts throughout the month of December, thanks to the continual support of caring people like you!
Holiday Express: Celebrating Community & Holiday Cheer
Continuing a tradition for more than two decades, the holiday season at TASK kicked off with the annual Holiday Express concert, a beloved tradition made possible by our partnership with the longstanding New Jersey-based nonprofit. As they do each year, the Holiday Express team brought joy to our dining room with a musical extravaganza featuring volunteer musicians, costumed performers and festive songs. The event always gets everyone moving and grooving to classic holiday tunes and a special gift giveaway, leaving everyone with a smile. "The Holiday Express concert was a true celebration of holiday cheer and community," remarked Amy Flynn, who experienced her first concert as TASK's CEO. "What a fun and joyful way to ring in the season!"
