STEVE SASSO, GM THOMPSON HOTEL
We are pleased to spotlight Steve Sasso, the new General Manager at Thompson Central Park New York. Steve is an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in different brands across the United States. He transitioned from Motif Seattle, where he had served for four years, after the hotel’s $10 million redesign. In his role as the General Manager, Steve oversaw a smooth transition to Hyatt Hotels as well as making Motif one of the most popular hotels in Seattle. Steve served as General Manager with Interstate Hotels at The London NYC, The Paramount, Denihan Hospitality at Benjamin Hotel, Eastgate Tower, Affinia Garden and Affinia Dumont. He also held the role of Hotel Manager at the Acqualina Resort & Spa on Miami Beach and many leadership roles at Copley Square hotel, The Westin New York and the W, New York. Steve is an avid foodie and has a sweet tooth, chocolate chip cookies are his favorite. During his leisure time, he enjoys the theater, working out, and listening to Kylie Minogue songs. His favorite song is “Be our guest” by Disney. His favorite vacation place is Thailand.
