Restaurant operators, buyers and chefs increasingly need concrete options, want more local connections to offer their guests and attending events that are easier to attend, more affordable and directly connected to their regional markets just make sense. That combination could makes Charlotte particularly attractive. It offers access not only to NC but to operators and suppliers throughout the Southeast. Restaurant Events' continued expansion demonstrates an important industry macro trend: relationships matter and local is not going away. Foodservice trade shows are becoming increasingly regional, targeted and relationship-driven.
And for an industry built around personal relationships, putting buyers and sellers together closer to where they actually conduct business could prove to be a very successful and profitable formula.
