Chef Vincent Tropepe is an award‑winning chef, cookbook author, speaker, restaurant consultant and mental health advocate with a distinguished career in the hospitality industry. Born in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, he discovered his passion for cooking early, inspired by his mother, grandmothers and cousin Phyllis. Before formal training, he gained foundational experience working in local restaurants. A graduate of the Art Institute of New York and the New York Restaurant School, Vincent earned top honors before beginning his professional journey alongside Alain Ducasse at the Essex House. He went on to cook in iconic kitchens including The Rainbow Room, SD26, The 21 Club and Mr. K’s, and has cooked for numerous celebrities and four U.S. Presidents, including 14 flights aboard Air Force One. His bestselling works include In My Whites, SLAUGHTERED, ROOTS, The Other Five Senses and The Guilty Pleasure Cookbook. His newest book, The Falsified Feast, will be published worldwide in 9/8 2026. His current focus is the Hospitality Mental Wellness Initiative USA, addressing addiction, depression and suicide within the hospitality community.
