Career Chef and ACF Board Member, Now Lives His Dream Andrew Whitcomb spent his whole life in food service, and now opens the restaurant of his dream, his vision becomes a reality. The wait is over.

Blackfish Tavern officially opens its doors today, bringing a new dining spot to a familiar site on the North Shore — as the old broken down Elijah Churchill’s Public House has been completely rebuilt, and reimagined. The tavern announced the long- anticipated debut on Facebook, calling it a “soft grand opening” and inviting neighbors to stop by for food, drinks and live music from local band MJ4. There’s even a dog-friendly patio for guests looking to bring their pups along. The announcement added that lunch service would kick off today as well, with doors opening at noon and dinner service running through 10 p.m. The project has been in the works for years. purchased the former Elijah Churchill’s Public House spot at 1031 Fort Salonga Road in

Fort Salonga specifically to bring his Black Fish concept to life.

Whitcomb, whose family once ran the Whitsons Culinary Group, an industrial dining services company, had described the concept as a place that would stand apart from traditional pubs and seafood spots. READ MORE ABOUT THIS ARTICLE
