Our Restaurant Ready program is proof of this, providing job-readiness training and life skills to underserved populations across 30 states. Kimberli Jones, a 19-year-old high school graduate from Pennsylvania, went from being unemployed to thriving in the food service industry thanks to the essential skills and certifications she acquired through the Restaurant Ready program. But even more importantly, she gained the confidence to succeed professionally and in life. “I want people to do the Restaurant Ready program because it teaches you not only the basics, but about leadership, positivity, and feedback,” she said. We aim to expand Restaurant Ready and all our career-advancing programs to help even more aspiring culinary professionals like Kimberli.
