Hospitality News is planning to be there and excited to host you near the competition area. New for 2026 is the Sunshine Plate Competition Stage, presented in partnership with the American Culinary Federation Central Florida Chapter. It will serve as the arena for the 2026 ACF Culinary Arts Competition. This isn't simply a cooking demonstration. Organizers are building a dedicated competition arena with four fully equipped cooking stations and stadium-style seating, allowing attendees to watch chefs work head-to-head at close range. The three-day schedule currently includes: Sunday, Oct. 25: Student and professional Pastry Sculpture competitions plus a professional Pork Challenge Monday, Oct. 26: Professional Seafood Challenge Tuesday, Oct. 27: Professional Beef Challenge Competitors do not have to be ACF members and there is no entry fee, although available competition spots are limited. The judging panel listed by the Central Florida ACF chapter includes Reimund Pitz, CEC, CCE, AAC, HOF as lead judge, along with Walter Zuromski, CEC, CCE and Tim Recher, CEC, AAC. Unox as the headlining sponsor and Bar Harbor Seafood as a product sponsor, and the organizers are actively offering additional Sunshine Plate sponsorship opportunities.
