When asked to write a few words in this newsletter, the first thought that came to mind, was to thank all, for the efforts put forth during the pandemic. It was just about the roughest days I have seen during my 20 plus years here. I am so proud of our dedicated team, and looking forward to a great 2023 with our great team.

I have worked for several nationwide com- panies focusing on building a better customer experience and improving performance through technology, logistic controls, work force management and building productive contact cen- ters. I joined the PRO-TEK Team in May and have enjoyed the training and meeting everyone.”

Gina Schalnger, a ture verteran in the world of kitchen equip- ment service, has recently re-joined PRO-TEK as a service manager. She started working within the Ed Daniels companies 20 plus years ago, and after ciruclating through the industry, chose to come back spend her remaining years with the same team she started with, and proud ot have her back on our team.

PRO-PLUS, a mere vision of founderEd Daniels, was started over 1o years ago. The vision was to have a service company that was designed predominately to support the manufacturers on warranty and installation services. That’s exactly how the company started, but not to long after its start, food
service operators wanted to continue with PRO-PLUS and the office staff and technciiansthey worked with, so not by design, but by request the custom- ers, PRO-PLUS turned into a full service company, handling all types of ser- vices to include geogrpahic areas PRO-TEK does not handle.

As the world becomes more complex, so do the bids we receive, so we appreciate the help Chris Ramone has been helping us with some complex bids...
Recently PRO-PLUS, and PRO-TEK, had the good fortune to be invited to bid on some signifi- cant properties, to include NYU University and Deautche Bank, based on the complexity of the bid and recent merger with CMSNEXTECH, we needed the support to make sure we filled out the bid with all the needed information and done accurately. Chris was very helpful and with his support we were able to complete the bids on time. As we move forward, we will be meeting the
other CMSNEXTECH associates that will also be instrumental in helping us transition into being an integral part of the largest service platform in the country. This will prove to be very exciting and at the same time create more opportunities for growth, both for the company, and the individuals in it. We look forward to a great last quarter of 2022 and an awesome 2023.

Message to all Technicians,
Many technicians approach me looking get a raise and or have their compensation pack - age revisited. Being in the business for over 40 years, I have heard all the stories from technicians as to why they need more money, from the need to by a house or get a new car, to the fact their family is growing and more money is needed in the household, I get it. I always explain to technicians, the most effective way to earn more money or get a better overall package, is to become more valuable. How one does that is to become more compliant if you are not yet already compliant, become cross trained if you are not, become more productive and profitable.
Advocate for yourself in an appropriate manor, and your will be heard.

This has been a rough two years by anyone’s measure, and we are glad that the pandemic is behind and not ahead of us. Once I again I want to thank you all, on behalf of our customers and our companies, as you technicians who were on the front line, putting yourselves in harms way, did not go unnoticed or unappreciated. As we move forward through 2022, I invite you all to reach out to me to share your career goals, to help you develop a plan to meet or exceed your growth goals. Click “ here ” to request a meeting TWO WAYS TO EARN EXTRA CASH BEFORE THE HOLIDAYS For years, PRO-TEK and PRO-PLUS paid out finder fees for bringing in qualified technicians, we paid out over the years tens of thousands of dollars, and the program continues. The current finder fee rate is now $2,000 for the right technician who survives the 90 day trial period with commitment to continue. TECHNICIAN TRAINING CLASSES
CFESA sets the Standard for Service Excellence. One of the ways we achieve excellence is through our custom designed continuing education and training programs. CFESA has developed five extensive training programs for food service equipment technicians. Our technician training programs cover the basic ele - ments of gas, electric, steam, water and refrigeration. All CFESA technician training programs include class - room and hands-on education and testing to identify, troubleshoot and repair problems on many types of equipment. Hands-on training is provided utilizing our custom-designed modules in addition to the equipment
our manufacturer partners donate for our use in training sessions. The flexibility of having our training facility equipped with four training kitchens allows us to ensure that the students receive the essential live hands-on time needed with the equipment.
Ed Daniels has always told the technicians, if you want to earn more, learn more, it’s simple but true, those who become certified, those who become more profiicient in troubleshooting, are the ones who have the best chance to earn more money and benefits. We are a member of CFESA , and have been for many years. as a result we have been able to connect better to manufacturers, and manufactures through CFESA , have connected to us. Now, and for a while, CFESA offers formal training classes from basics to advanced class - es, giving technicians the opportunity to become more proficient and eventually through learning and testing, the opportunity to become certified. For those technicians who become certified, it will increase the probability of a better review and play a role in salary increases. 1. Will I be in jeopardy of losing my job based on this recent merger? No, the master plan is to grow PRO-TEK and PRO-PLUS, so as long as everyone does what is expected of them job security will remain high
2. Will I have the opportunity to grow and earn more money?
Yes, but as always, the opportunity to earn more money will be based on job performance, time on the job and the desire and demonstration to become more valuable to the company
3. Will I be able to transfer to another location if I so desire?
Not now, as the need to maintain and grow our customer base, requires us to keep all personnel. In the future the opportunity to transfer to different parts of the company will probably become available
4. Will I be able to get more training as a result of this merger?
Absolutely, now that we are part of the largest service platform in the country, we will have more access to resources that will help us perform our job duties better and with more proficiency 5. Who will be my “go to” manager? Our management structure will stay the same for field technicians, lower and middle management, upper management will report to a new senior leadership team
6. Will I continue with the same insurance?
Because we are now part of a much larger group, we will catch the benefits of better insurance programs that we as a group and individually be able to enjoy better chance for better plans
7. Will my benefits package change?
Generally the benefits packages will stay the same, however, there will be a review of all packages, and if there will be changes it should be for the better, as the philosophy of PRO-TEK, PRO-PLUS, and CMSNEXTECH, is to take care of all the valued people within the newly formed group
